This novel had me in a chokehold for four days. It made feel sad, scared, empathic, angry and happy within 300-plus pages. It has the some elements I love in a book: Wonderful character development, medium-paced, some scary moments, gripping social commentary, and a strong villian. The time and setting complements the story very well. Highly recommend in my opinion!

I loved this book. I loved the strong female characters and Dr. Hansen. Honestly couldn’t put it down. Such an imaginative, unique story.

I loved this book, I sped through it and listened to the audiobook all day long. It is a wonderful combination of history, suspense, feminism, and a little bit of fantasy with things like mediums and psychics. I loved it!

**spoiler alert** I only asked for one thing out of this book and that was for Loretta not to hook up with the doctor. Jesus H. Christ it's like getting served the perfect bowl of soup with all the things you love but you can't enjoy it because there's a hair in it.
