Damn, honestly disappointed with this one. I’m staggered by the amount of stellar reviews for this book.I Really was expecting something a bit creepier with some twists but this ended up being like a lifetime/ hallmark movie. I was actually expecting something demonic or spooky with this tile but it wasn’t one bit. The first half was interesting enough but it really went stale and felt too long. Was expecting a twist with the Dr and his wife or something but it was just happily ever after. The one “twist” was really obvious from the first half of the book and anticlimactic. I feel like the genres listed for this book are off and left me feeling disappointed.

I don't know if the murder was intended to be a mystery.  Maybe it was supposed to be obvious and this is more a drama about what women in the 50s had to endure rather than a mystery/thriller novel?  I don't know but the killer (to me) was quite obvious at the onset.
