This book has some real lovecraft vibes about the story but it’s really well done. Good mystery. A little weak on the “creepy/horror”. More thriller mystery with a supernatural resolution. Audiobook is a banger and the guy reading did awesome vocal work in the final chapters with the “horror” that gave me chills. Absolutely worth the read. / listen.
The premise of this book is nuts, so I don't know why I'm surprised that the content was totally nuts, but I guess it's that it turned out to be nuts in a way I wasn't expecting. Three stars for total and complete originality, but I honestly am struggling to think of a single person I would recommend this book to. It turns out this is the author's first book, having previously had viral posts on the NoSleep subreddit. Soooo perhaps I recommend this to fans of the NoSleep subreddit!

I just couldn’t get into this one. It took a lot to make it to the end. I don’t think it was poorly written, the story just didn’t captivate me.

Not as much for a resolution as I'd like, but I get the point of grief being unending.
