I really teetered on giving this a 3 or a 4 because I really liked the story, but it felt like it promised some things that were never delivered. It also should have probably gone to the editor once more because there were a couple typos and several sentences that just didn’t make sense unless a word was substituted or the sentence structure was changed around.

Still pretty enjoyable overall, but a 3.5 rounded up.

The dialogue is very flat. Also the hero gets shot in the shoulder, then somehow one week later is chopping wood.

This book was pretty good. Pretty standard mafia romance. I wish there were a few more side characters/relationships to build the world that this book was creating. 

Listened on audio, at first I couldn’t get past the ridiculous Russian accent of the male narrator, but I ended up getting used to it. The female was fine.
