Very adorable but nothing too memorable..it was a fun light read :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I really enjoyed multiple elements of this book.

Sori is such an interesting character. I loved reading the book from her perspective and seeing what it is like living high in the kpop world and being a part of it for so long. I loved seeing her try to develop herself and change her path to what she wants. I loved seeing her come out of shell a bit and try new things.

Nathaniel is such a sweet person. He takes care of everyone. He is so kind, so caring. He is very cute. I loved seeing him throughout the hook look after sori and protect her. Seeing the dynamic the pair have together was great. I loved their relationship and their chemistry.

This book gave me all the kdrama feelings that I was craving. It read like a kdrama and I loved that.
I loved reading about the kpop industry snd reading it from the perspective of someone not in the group.
I loved it being set in Korea and all of that as not many books are like this.

I really enjoyed my time reading this. Would definitely recommend if you love second chance romance, and kpop: kdramas

ASAP is a companion romance novel to XOXO, by Axie Oh. This story centers on Min Sori, the daughter of a Kpop company CEO and a politician, Sori has dedicated her life to becoming a Kpop idol, but she begins to question if the spotlight is truly where she belongs.
Caught between her mother's entertainment empire and her father's political ambitions, Sori grapples with her own desires versus familial expectations.

Summary
Even if she's reluctant to admit it, even to herself, there's no question Sori is still in love with Nathaniel, even though it's been a while since they broke up. Her feelings don't matter, though, and neither do his. That's what she tells herself, because the reasons they broke up haven't changed. She's never broken a promise to her mother, and as her mother's stress levels rise, she doesn't want to add to that burden. In fact, she wants to do something to ease her mother's burden, even if the price is something that will finally nail shut thedoor to her and Nathaniel as a couple forever.

My Thoughts
(mild spoilers)
This was a sweet encore to XOXO. If anything, I think I even enjoyed it slightly more than the first book. Sori's struggles were understandable and relatable but still excruciating in the way her waffling hurt both her and Nathaniel. I also enjoyed the patient role Nathaniel played. Often love stories rely on dramatic responses--hurt feelings, broken trust, storming off, etc. In this story, even when it seemed Sori would not commit to a romantic relationship and even when the story shows him struggling with the pain of that, he continues to respond to her with kindness and friendship (as do his friends), which was refreshing.

A couple of minor swear words. Plenty of admiration of the way the romantic interests look, several enthusiastic but non-graphic kisses, and one evening where between-the-sheets-shenanagins are strongly implied but only kissing is stated. A few female minor characters are stated to have girlfriends.
