this book dragged on sori and nathaniels forbidden love to much to the point where I was getting pissed off on the will-they/won't-they. it was too repetitive and sori (although, I understand why she was behaving this way) was just making me mad in the second half of the book, lol.
but, it was cute. just nothing ground breaking.

sighhh second chance romance is quickly moving up to be a favorite trope of mine.

ASAP is set in the same world as XOXO, revolving around Sori, who was a side character in the previous book. I enjoyed this a lot!

The romance was so cute, and I loved the feeling of "they knew each other intimately once but..." While I wish I remembered more from the first book (having read it over a year and a half ago), I still retained enough to have joy from the side characters. Particularly, I loved the two other members of the Kpop idol group, Sun and Yeongjim whom both had their own unique personalities and I would LOVE to see their own companion novels regarding the two of them. (their expressions that we see when watching Nathaniel and Sori>>>>)

One thing I would say is that the reason they first broke up was because Sori and Nathaniel both had dreams and Sori's mom told her to break up with him. The second time during the third act, it's basically the exact same reason. When they finally get together, I really wanted it to be in a way that shows to Nathaniel that Sori wouldn't let it happen again and they would stick together even in the bad. But it doesn't -- she doesn't have to choose whatsoever and the circumstances are good. It just made me feel iffy because Nathaniel has always been waiting for her and prioritizing her, and it doesn't feel the same for Sori, no matter how much I love her character.

Speaking of, I really did like Nathaniel. Throughout the book, you can just see the constant yearning between the two of them and it's so cute.
A favorite: her doing karaoke and doing sexy poses with her friends and Nathaniel over the phone hearing them chant her name and so after he said no to karaoke going anyways because she's there.

Another sub plot was
Hyemi who Sori trained to be an idol, and about Hyemi's growing crush on Nathaniel (apparenrly love). This mainly gets resolved with a few lines between Sori and Hyemi,
but it felt a little rushed to me. I wanted to see their friendship hurt a little. I wanted to see Hyemi's shock when the realization fully hit even if there were clues. But, alas.

Loved it even more than XOXO (which I thoroughly enjoyed). Getting to see more of the characters I've already gotten to know always adds to the experience. Sori's journey of finding who she is and what she really wants was a wonderful journey. And how Nathaniel and her friends supported her throughout, no matter what her decision ended up being
