Animal loving woman rescued from a forced marriage by her fiancé in disguise. Adventurous journey. Puritanical bullshit. Loving family. Shot by an arrow twice. Magical castle restoration. Banging in weird places.

Orphans. Torture. Murder. Church crap.

This is an unexpectedly sweet story. I loved the Fmc’s penchant for finding broken animals. I love the work both put into their relationship. I love the conflict coming from something that would have truly been a problem at the time. It was so seamlessly written! I  had an idea about the end but I was entirely wrong which was a wonderful discovery.

I have been provided with a review copy of Highland Wolf through NetGalley for an impartial review. This is the tenth book in the Highland Brides series and each book can be read as a standalone title. This book introduces us to many new characters that you just can’t help but love and it also lets you catch up with some familiar characters from past books so it’s just the best of both worlds. I just absolutely fell in love with this story and these wonderful characters. I just lost myself within the story and I just didn’t want to put it down. I loved getting to see these characters journey and I just couldn’t get enough of them. I can’t wait to see what happens next from this author.

I should've DNF'd this. This has to be my last book of this series. Like the others, this features a strange and unpredictable plot that manages to be boring as well. As usual, the heroine is always in trouble and the hero continually makes stupid choices.

Scottish historical romance.
A highlander named Wolf.
A plaid clad warrior out to rescue his betrothed after 12 year apart.
A whimsical maiden who love of animals, especially her horse and protective wolf.

This novel is an Incredibly entertaining love story! And, I did the audio which was read to me in a Scottish accent.

Thank you Harper Audio for the complimentary audiobook of Highland Wolf.

The story “The Wolf” is another fun story in the Highland Bride series by Lynsay Sands.  As with most of her other stories the damsel in distress is saved by a handsome hero.  Lady Claray MacFarlane found herself being forced by her uncle to marry her neighboring clan leader who was an awful person. Just as her uncle was dragging her to the church The Wolf rides into the bailey and rescues Claray away from her uncle.  As they travel, Claray rescues several animals including a bunny, a stoat and a fox.  Both Claray and The Wolf have reasons why they could be in danger so they have to figure out who is attacking them.  This is as always a laugh out loud story that is entertaining and fun to read.  As with all of Lynsay’s stories it was very enjoyable.
