The ending of this is so goddamn good!! What a beautiful series that I will cherish for ever. Lyon will always have a special place in my heart. I love the art change and how they look as grown up versions it looks just is soo good.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Fruits Basket, especially its admittedly a bit cheesy conclusion. I felt extremely connected to all of the characters, even Akito. I enjoyed how her redemption was handled throughout the series and I think this final volume served as the perfect conclusion to that narrative. I didn't love the flash forward at the end of the series, I always hate when manga like this imply that the relationships we have in high school will always last until the end of our lives, but ultimately I felt a stronger connection to this series than I did even when I read it in middle school.
