If you like princess bride adventures it’s a classic. Very similar to the movie (which is def worth a watch).

Stardust is one of my absolute all-time favourite movies so when I read the book, about 6-7 perhaps 8 years ago, I had been severely disappointed. Now that I'm older and I've read far more Faerie books, I found Stardust enchanting.
It's the perfect Faerie-story, marvellous, transporting, sweet and a little melancholic, so it's re-become one of my favourites, in another medium.
(The movie still is more romantic though!)

This admittedly is one of those rare occasions where the synopsis is actually better than the entire book. The story is slow, predictable and nothing ”really” happens in between the besotted school boy routine and the whining injured star limping around.

I really enjoyed this book however I think I preferred some parts of the film to it (apart from Victoria’s ark / character development, that was definitely handled better here then in the film).
However, I love the world Neil Gaimon created within this book. I was completely taken with it and just could not put the book down.
