Peter Pezzelli is one of the author's I enjoy reading. His stories of Italian families are touching. My favorite book of his is still "Home To Italy", the first book I read of his. This one was close to being as good as that book. Fabio was a tortured character that struggled with his demons through most of the story. I really enjoyed the character of Zio Rick, but wish that we would have gotten to know a little more of his story and why he left Italy. With the way the book ended, I could see a second book continuing Fabio's story. It would be nice to find out what happens to his life.

unfortunately this turned out to only be Fine.....kind of disappointed because the writing and characterizations were great! i loved everyone’s personalities and dynamics! it felt so real to life! but just something about it missed the mark :/ maybe it was the lack of dancing or the lack of in depth look into glassblowing idk :///

A bit of a slow burn that follows the trauma recovery of a man who thought he was invincible. The scars are apparent but what lies beneath is a struggle that only he can overcome on his own.

A well written book that I will highly recommend to my friends who have experienced emotional and physical trauma and are learning how to overcome their survivor’s guilt and find the joy in living again.
