WHEW. That was rough. Well written, some beautiful stuff, but also a whole lot of darkness. Bad things happen. Bad. And I'm not sure the ending was worth the slog through the difficult events.

This was absolutely breathtaking. You can feel every emotion that these girls feel, and the twists, turns, and journeys these girls go on take you in such a bittersweet ride. Also,

Very hard to read at parts because of how many terrible things happen to the characters and

not even getting to experience the reunion at the end left me feeling unfulfilled and sad after all of that trauma.

this was so much more graphic and traumatic a story than i was expecting, and although it was so hard to read, i admire what the book brought to light and the writing was truly lovely, the characters more than admirable.
