A dumb man recommended this dumb book to me and then dumped me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Seriously don’t bother with this book, there’s a character who was cursed and has no mouth, and the main guy talks about how he would still make out with her not-mouth HELP

First couple hundred pages had great buildup to a big reveal. After the reveal, the rest of the book is boring and somehow both unnecessarily absurd and predictable. I would still do anything for Radar though.

Maybe one of the longest books I’ve read page-wise. Quite an adventure. The whole first half seemed to be build up but it was worth it for the relationships that were built and the way that those elements came back later at the end of the story. Considering I was looking for a book to really get lost in, I did not mind the slow build up as others have. Nah, nah, I quite enjoyed it.

should’ve been two books .

you can tell stephen king is really churning them out - all of his books are longer yet don’t have the same substance as his earlier - better - works. this one was a miss from me,, 2.5 stars is even a bit generous,, it lacked depth and felt like a mishmash of narratives rolled into one undercooked “story”. also i hate hate HATEd the way charlie kept saying things along the lines of  “that’s not what he said, i translated it from empirisan” .. like, we get it becky.. you’ve acclimated, you’ve done what no other american has - you learned the language of the place you visited… anyway, rant over. this book was a waste of 95% of the pages it was written on. job done. hope he retires soon before he churns out more half-done story-mill books that only appease his publisher.

The audio recording is one of the best I’ve ever heard.
