The Rogues are definitely my favorite villains in the DCU.

The rogues are at their strongest when they play the anti-hero roles. With this Forever Evil tie-in, flash is gone and the rogues decline the earth-3 doppelgängers. Throw in great art style, proper character development, and a few notable sacrifices, and you’ve won me over.

I didn't really know much about The Rogues going into this other than they are Flash villains. I guess they're kind of small-time criminals in the grand scheme of the DC universe? Well I read Forever Evil and, being a fan of villains, it was interesting. I picked up Rogues Rebellion pretty much just because I recognized Captain Cold on the cover and liked the art. The concept sounded interesting to me so I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. Reading a book that I'm supposed to root for the bad guys was great! The Rogues have honor and love one another and I hope to read more of their adventures in the future. A group of thieves, who gain powers by dumb luck, vow to stick together to protect their city from an evil so great not even the Justice League could stop them! With a bounty on their heads, they must fight their way through hordes of monsters and gangs to save each other and their hope for their slice of the American dream. I may or may not have cried at the end.

Welcome to Central City. Sure you lose a couple of your favorites along the way. And one can only wonder where Reverse Flash and Boomerang are but if you're a fan of the Flash, this is the most fun you'll have reading a comic since Flashpoint. You get to see the Rogues in action against some of Gotham and Metropolis' finest villains. Great stuff for a reader like me who really is a fan of Mirror Master above all else besides Thawne within the Flash comics.

Probably my favourite spin-off stories of the Forever Evil storyline. The Rogues are great and more of a team than the actual heroes some times. And we get a panel of Pied Piper hugging his boyfriend, a cop no less.
Will definitely be checking out more Rogue stories.
