Read this whole book in one sitting (not necessarily by choice, bc I was on a 10hr plane ride), but sometimes I do that with Harlan Coben anyway haha. This one was honestly a little less suspenseful than some of his other books I've read, but I still enjoyed all of the twists and turns (and did NOT expect the ending!!)
I really liked this mystery and though I'm sure some have figured it out before the big reveal, for this one, I did not. I flipped the page thinking in my head, "how do you know???" Recommend for anyone who likes mystery Thrillers, though this was less thriller than others.

The first 100 pages are near perfect. The plot kinda stalls in the middle, some revelations don’t get explored. The danger is ever present until it’s not. I don’t know, it was worthwhile. The first act was just too good for the story that followed.
Good story. Some scenes keep me at the edge of my seat.
I read the Elvis Cole/Joe Pike series religiously. This is not part of that series, but is equally compelling. This one is a stand alone novel with a number of deep, long standing relationships. It’s a murder mystery in the present with ties to past deaths. It’s a government conspiracy story. And yet, it is a can’t put down thriller. Another great read from Harlan Coben.
