Follows The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat; best to read that one first so you understand the characters. A good story--nothing earth-shattering about it, just a nice story about good friends.

I found the first book on a whim and I immediately LOVED IT, so when I found out that there was a sequel I was so excited! And it delivered. The same quirky, loveable, magnetic qualities of the first book were so well followed up on, and finding out more about these women who I love so much was such a pleasure! I hope there’s a third book

Not as good as the first (maybe the years make the writing less enjoyable?) but still laugh out loud, sardonic and downright emotional. Think of this book as spending the day with a church gossip on the porch sipping iced tea with molasses and not a thing to do for the rest of the day.

This book was mildly funny and touching in parts. It was an okay read but there really isn't anything about it that makes me love or hate it. Just a little more....something... could have made it both hilarious and a tear-jerker, but it was just middle of the read for me emotionally. If you want to read something entertaining without being challenged this is a good one to pick up.

Thank you to NetGalley, Mr. Moore, and the publishing company for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I read the first book in the series a few years back and really enjoyed. This sequel did not disappoint. It is always comforting to me to find out what happens next, especially when you have such a dynamic group of woman.

As some others commented on, I do not think it is necessary to read the first book to appreciate this one. However, I highly recommend it.

Clarice, Odette, and Barbara Jean are still living in Plainview, Indiana. They are all still married and dealing with their relationships with each other, their spouses, their parents, and their children. This book definitely had a lot of funny moments but dealt with a lot of serious issues (including abuse, infidelity, forgiveness, etc).

I would highly recommend this book.
