Really liked this book. Very simple, but interesting. Gwen discovers that she has the time-travelling gene and now she must go on mission alongside Gideon, her time travelling partner, to reunite the blood from every time traveller to close the chronograph and revel the secret that’ll change humanity to better. Or so says the Count, the leader and creator of this secret society. I love the movies, so I knew I would like the books. The writing is really nice, very easy to immerse in the book. I loved the time travelling Gwen and Gideon did and the adventures they had. It's really nice to see Gwen marvel at this new world to her. I really liked how the past and the present connect, every detail mentioned in the past or present is important to the future. It’s a really nice fantasy with little nibs of romance. The romance isn't the focus, but we get some breadcrumbs with Gwen and Gideon. It's nice to see how their chemistry evolved to something else.

re-read of my all time favourite book from my childhood! and it shocked me how good it still is! the story is great and extremely detailed and well planned! just really happy i read this again!

I think this is a wonderful Start to a trilogy. For me it started off a bit slow but it definitely picks up and when it does its difficult to put down and not think about what's going to happen next. Good Read !
Gwyneth and her family live in modern London. All of her life Gwen has known that her family carries the time traveling gene. However, her snotty cousin Catherine has been prepared for her role as the time traveler. Imagine everyone's surprise when it is Gwen that is discovered to be the time traveler. I really enjoyed this book. It is a fast read and Kerstin Gier weaves the story effortlessly. I did find it a little predictable but I really enjoy the descriptions of when Ruby time travels back in time. I also have a weakness for stories that are set in London. I look forward to the next book in the trilogy.

Ich bin ein großer Fan von den neuen Zusätzen! Besonders das Kapitel aus Gideons Sicht hat meinen Eindruck von Gideon doch wirklich nochmal verändert. Ich hatte jetzt viel mehr das Gefühl, ihn als Charakter besser zu kennen und zu verstehen.
