I haven't read from Sally Thorne since I read The Hating Game back in 2021. Now I'm considering going back and reading some of her backlist titles because this novella was DELIGHTFUL! I am having so much fun reading this entire collection, but Rosie and the Dreamboat is a standout amongst the six novellas.

Having a hot firefighter save you from a potentially embarrassing and traumatic scenario all while he is charming and jokes with you to keep you calm???? Top Tier. The audio for this one was also particularly fantastic.

Cute story for sure. After reading this I’d definitely read more of Rosie and Leo. There was a few parts I was unsure of, why’d her sister just leave her, why does she keep pawning her sister off to Leo, why was Leo ridiculed so much, did no employee check to make sure the toilet worked before they made it a treatment? BUT. I liked their banter and chemistry.

Started strong but I think Leo turned into some type of unhinged looney somewhere in there - I think I'd be slightly afraid of a man that was so emphatically cartoonish. One mention of dreamboat was plenty, the repeated use made me side eye. I did love the set up and would have enjoyed a more realistic ending like grabbing coffee sometime?
