Usually I don't write reviews but this book gave me everything I needed in a romance novel. It was realistic and refreshing. I love how story had multiple layers to it where everything wasn't just about sex and being in love. I love how the author didn't make marriage the ultimate goal but instead gave the characters their own storylines outside of each other. This is the first romance novel that I ever read that was balanced so well. There wasn't even a moment where I felt frustrated with the characters (which is common when I read romance novels). Thank you Christina C. Jones for a well rounded story.

I can’t give this book 5 stars but I also can’t say why cause it’s a spoiler and it was just not a trope for meeeee but that’s okay, everything else was great!!!!!!!!

I love Pierre and Logan's story. CCJ's writing style and story telling gives me life. I was slipping into a reading slump when this book was my life raft. I Definitely see myself re-reading this book in the future.

I loved Pierre and Logan's chemistry from their very first encounter. They had such an intense vibe going on.

Logan's character was pretty incredible. She was strong, independent, and intelligent. I loved that she owned what she said, what she did, and who she was as a person. I really enjoyed the scene with her father, and the spa scene with her mom. I also had a great appreciation for the way Logan handled Sienna.

The struggle Pierre had with addiction was heartfelt. I could sense the emotion behind his trying to maintain his sobriety, deal with the stresses of his career, and the general stresses of life.

I enjoyed Logan and Pierre's witty back and forth. I also really liked that Pierre and Logan seemed to have each other's back, whether or not they were feeling whatever was going on at the time. They had insecurities to deal with and pressures resulting from the legacy of their parents.

One thing I do appreciate about Christina C. Jones books is that all her female characters are not women who are perfectly fit, toned, tight, size 4's. The women embrace their curves. Even if they are feeling a little shaky about things, the brotha's don't seem to have a problem reassuring them. It makes the women so much more relatable.

I listened to the audiobook. I am sure it won't be the last time. Wesleigh Siobhan is one of my go to narrators and, I have found a new narrator to check out in Emmanuel Ingram.

I would definitely recommend this book. It had romance, sexiness, elements of love, loyalty, and support. There was also an HEA.
