Slow to get in to but better than book 1. I feel like I finally sorta know what's going on with this world and who the characters are. The ending has me interested in book 3...

Hunger Games and Harry Potter had a baby. Trials and finding "horcrux's" or my dead vampire dad's keepsakes embeded with crazy powers needed to fight a war. Mix in a betrayal and love story.

I was hooked in the first book but wasn't as excited in the sequel. It was ok, kinda bummed our fmc didn't get to rip into Septimus.

I really wanted to like this more. After reading the first book in one sitting, I had such high expectations. It was good, writing was phenomenal but the book took me so long to get through. It just wasn’t keeping me interested compared to the first. I love how the story wrapped up between characters. I gave it three stars, I didn’t hate it, wasn’t obsessed with it. Still love the author!
