I’m marking this one read, but feel the need to be honest that I DNF at pg. 160. Nothing wrong with the book, it’s just not for me - which is cool because I’m not a teen and thus not the intended audience.

I might be super biased because I’m a South Asian film-obsessed woman but I freaking loved this book. All the Bollywood references, the endearing love story, the conflict between destiny and free will, jerk face antagonists named Raj and romantic boys named Dev. I loved it so much and it truly felt like its own Bollywood story. And I very much appreciate the list of Bollywood recommendations at the end because I missed out on a huge chunk of them. Also, as a member of the Dead Dad Club, the small father/daughter interaction on page 268 made me tear up so much so thanks for that 🥹
