This riveting adventure story was gripping. I really loved how the author showed the bonds between father (Will), mother (Chris) and daughter (Shannon). The crashing of the plane Abe those who had to endure the unknowingness of whether they would live or die held me at the edge of my finger turning pages. Some of the terminology used during the dive and rescue had me thinking creatively and researching how the rescue could be possible but I love a great book with a tightly knit ending.
Could not wait to finish this book.
The basic story is interesting. However, the details were frustrating and at times laughable. The author created two main characters, Chris and Will, who are egotistical and know more than anyone else. They became boring very quickly. There was also way to much time spent looking back into the main characters past. So much so that once the author started going that direction I would skip several paragraphs or even pages in order to get back to the story.

Honestly, it took me a while to get into the book (I often find that disaster stories just don't tend to grip me as much as others because their plots are always pretty straightforward & similar by nature), but the climax really pulled through. I ended up caring about most of the remaining characters and really enjoyed the resolution. It was obvious the author was going to kill off the two obnoxious, shitty men though. Was it both expected and unrealistic? Absolutely, but I'm glad she cut the dead weight.
