Listened for  2 and a quarter hours and started to not care. Decent deacof plane crash and immediate aftermath but then the characters back stories became boring. If the characters had been less flat I would've finished but they were FLAT.

Yet another disappointing read - I’m beginning to think I’m being pranked with how high the average reviews are for this.

It’s an interesting idea that is let down with the utter lack of decent storytelling, technical know-how does not a plot make. The characters are paper thin and one-dimensional and it’s hard to really care about any of them on a genuine level. The dialogue is terrible and I’m sick of this ‘bantery’ ‘witty’ voice authors seem to think I want characters to speak in. I do not.

The book reads like a movie and not in a good way (and I don’t think it’d be a good movie either). I just wish that for once a popular book of recent years would actually live up to the hype.
