Quero ver no cinema.

I loved Falling so much, I didn't expect to enjoy the follow-up nearly as much. But WOW, I think I liked this one even better. Newman's writing style is so cinematic and descriptive, I can see the scenes playing in my mind clear as day. I will read any and everything TJ Newman writes. Highly recommend to any thriller lover out there, and highly do NOT recommend to anyone already scared of flying. Newman's plots are a bit too close for comfort these days!

Books are meant to evoke feeling. This book did that. You felt the anxiety play throughout the ordeal that is this book. You felt the fear. The love. I won't say too much about this book, but in the latter half. The whole scene after Ira dies and Ruth's story about the fight after their first anniversary "so we're fighting. I'm exhausted. Finally I say 'forget this, I'm leaving'..... Ruth took a deep breath and says "you can't leave me! You don't know how to make the coffee!" really resonated with me on a personal level and evoked a whole lot of emotion. On top of this book hitting hard, it was an incredible story from start to finish and a very enjoyable read. Big kudo's T.J. Newman

A very okay novelization of a Hollywood blockbuster (that hasn’t been made yet). Two-dimensional characters right out of central casting. Predictable plot turns. (Demonstrating both: The male pilot conveniently dies, leaving the Plucky Female Co-pilot in command. The Asshole on Board predictably calls her a stewardess.) This book could have benefited greatly from a good edit and the loss of at least 25-30 pages.

Props for using the song I Will Survive, “an iconic disco anthem that declared an unwavering commitment to one thing and one thing only. Survival.” (chapter 40) I enjoyed what we saw of the Hawaiian setting.

this is genuinely one of the best books i have read in a while. The story was so compelling, the characters were all so developed in a way that i was attached to each one, even the assholes.

I will be reliving this one for a long time. It isn’t something I would normally pick up, but I’m so glad I did. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was really hard to put down. I was anxious and a little claustrophobic. I was cheering and catching my breath. I even got a little emotional at the end. Just a wild thrilling ride!
