I saw so much hype around this and falling that when I saw Barnes and Noble had this one on sale - a SIGNED version at that - for half off, I had to have it.
Flight 1421 is doom almost from the very start of its departure from Honolulu. Six minutes after takeoff, it's apparent it's not going to make it to San Francisco, but how far will they make it? Once the plane goes down in the water, a cast of characters takes over and some rise to lead while others blame them.
This was thrilling, terrifying and like your darkest nightmare come to life. In some ways I regret reading this because I know it's going to be on my mind the next time I get on a plane. 😩

A fast paced thriller from the first page! A few twists and turns that really surprised me. The story is a 5 star, the pacing is 5 star. The only downside is in amongst the manic scenes, there are so many characters that aren’t described enough to differentiate them. But other than that, great story that takes you on a rollercoaster ! A must read.
Another fantastic book from T.J. Newman! It keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first page and doesn't let up until the end. Just like Falling, I wouldn't recommend reading this while on an airplane, especially if you are flying from Hawaii! Thatnks to NetGalley for the digital ARC.

Wow! What a corker of a book this was!
Literally could not put it down and raced through it at a super fast speed. Real edge of the seat stuff.
Reading the first chapter I immediately thought this would make a great movie, and then I discovered that the rights have already been bought by Warner Brothers.
This book is action packed from start to finish. There’s some great characters in there, some to love some to hate. There’s some funky technical detail about the equipment used for the rescue which I found strangely interesting. Theres sexy divers and gung ho military rescuers. There’s some interesting insights into the workings and routines of a flight obviously due to the author being ex cabin crew and there’s of course a love story running throughout. There’s moments of tension and moments of tenderness.
What more could you want?
Yes it’s schmaltzy and Hollywood in places but sometimes I need that in my life.
Highly recommend and giving it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
