3.5/5 I’m confused why there wasn’t a better solution to saving them?? No one has prepared for a plane crashing into the ocean?

Compelling thriller. I'm scared of flying and drowning and small spaces, so this was a lot of worst nightmares packed into one book. Enough interesting stories of smart people working together to keep the tone more hopeful at times.
I enjoyed about 80% of this book but the last 20% I was just annoyed. But the book did keep me on the edge of my seat until the ending when it just became predictable and has a lot of useless dialogue or flashbacks that didn’t add anything to the story
Wow, I am so glad I gave this author another chance, I loved this book. I read FALLING last year and did it love it but after seeing the hype for DROWNING and stumbling upon it at my library, I picked it up and began reading, and was instantly hooked! The author did an amazing job, researching and setting the scene of this actual nightmare, and the story had a lot more heart and depth than I was expecting. I was crying on the final pages, which completely surprised me. This is a book about a horrific situation but it’s also about so much more— grief, love, loss, & life. 4.5 stars!!

5/5 the way this book had me UGLY crying! this is a very different book that i typically would not go for, but man am i glad i went for it! SO GOOD. the characters were so captivating and despite it being a short and quick read, i was very connected to every single person. ✈️
This is an enjoyable and very fast-paced novel. It was very intense, and the story moved continuously. I never really felt that it dragged. I'm not sure how plausible some of the dramatic rescue parts are, but overall, I enjoyed it. Probably good that I read it AFTER my most recent plane trip.
