This book was great. Like the other book by this author (Falling) it grabs you right from the first sentence and doesn’t let go. I didn’t want to put it down. The author paints a picture that puts you right there- I could see everything in my mind’s eye. This author needs to write more books!!
Ugh. This was a miss for me. You're thrust into the action from literally the first page and it doesn't stop until right before the epilogue. Wayyy too many characters with zero character development (I literally thought they were introducing a new character named Ryan on page 200 and had to go back and check only to realize he had literally been there the entire time). Lots of technical information about boats and airplanes that I found myself glazing over. Almost felt like I was reading a script rather than a novel? Just not a lot of substance behind what was written. Although action packed and vaguely interesting, it definitely was not too enjoyable for me overall.

T.J. just has a knack for gripping me with the stories she writes.
Her first book I really enjoyed, but this one makes you vividly see everything she describes.
Great book and recommend if people like all go go go action.

I’m thinking 4.5-5 stars. Can’t decide lol
This book in INTENSE! What a whirlwind of a book. I started it yesterday and finished it today. It gave me constant anxiety

Another disaster genre tale by TJ Newman. Not nearly as good as Falling, but still an enjoyable ride. Not as believable as Falling, but still an enjoyable ride. Not as riveting as Falling, but close! If you're a Falling fan, definitely pick this one up.
Let's talk about the narrators - the male did a great job. The female narrator for Chris was HARD to listen to. Emotions were exaggerated and overdone. Inflections didn't match the text. It was weird. So I'd recommend reading this one over listening to it.

Wow. I haven’t stayed up this late (3am) to finish a book in many, many years. I was almost exactly halfway through this book when I started reading tonight and just couldn’t stop. This had my heart pounding at times, and tears streaming down my face at others. I absolutely loved it.
This is def the book equivalent of a popcorn movie, but what a ride! A page turner from chapter one, characters I cared about, a scope I can easily imagine as a summer blockbuster. It was also full of the little details that make books like Andy Weir’s and Lee Child’s so interesting to me.

4.5/5 - Fast-paced and emotionally layered, though a little too spot on with the supporting characters’ personalities and weaknesses
