Definitely a pint of ice cream read, but, like, a really good one.

To be fair, I thought this would be a stranded on an island book and was really excited about that (I did not read the synopsis, so that’s my bad)

This book had me in pieces multiple times... naturally, I cannot reccomend it enough!

There's no easing you into the drama, it's right there with you from the first page right up until the last. I completely devoured it and would definitely pick up another book by the same author.

Review on the Drowning audiobook!

The passengers aboard flight 1421 had just mere minutes of normalcy when everything went abruptly and terribly wrong. The loss of an engine up in flames, and parts of the wing shredded while panic begins after takeoff. The passengers are being tossed around, they are sending goodbye texts to loved ones while screams fill the plane that's about to plunge into the Pacific Ocean.

Drowning by T.J. Newman was INTENSE. We have two fantastic narrators, Steven Webber, and Laura Benanti. Between their narration and the story itself by Newman, I was on the edge of my seat in suspense, my anxiety had anxiety and my heart was pounding practically from start to finish.

The character development was rich and well done. I easily could have listened to more. It's not just about a plane crash. It's about love, loss, second chances, and the lengths a parent will go to save a child.

Whew! The chills...soo good. Also, if you ever find yourself in a book slump, grab this one! I highly recommend the audio.

Drowning is out on 5/30. Thank you @librofm for this ALC!!

It’s like reading an action movie. I don’t know if I’ve ever been more tense reading a book - on the edge of my seat from start to finish!

3.5 stars. I am definitely in the minority on this one because there are so many 5 star reviews by my closest reading friends! I listened to the audio and it just felt overly dramatic and very contrived at times (maybe print would have been better?).

This was a fast paced thriller to get me back into reading after a few weeks off. The story was quick and dark, with an engaging subject. Although it was highly improbable, it was an enjoyable thriller to listen to! It did make me tear up a bit too.

Kept me up late getting to the end of this book. This is the second of her books that kept me enthralled the whole time.
