"Neuromancer" has one of the most vivid and influential visions of a future high tech dystopias in Sci-Fi. The setting and concepts are the strength of the novel, however the noir prose can lay it on a little thick sometimes. Several of the characters (especially female ones) are fairly shallow, and the Rastafarian "Zion" city and characters can be funny perhaps not in the way the author intended.
