I love all of Karen M. McManus' previous books so much, and I will probably never stop reading her mystery books. hate being said, this is my least favorite of the three she has released so far. The concept of the high stakes Truth or Dare game was possibly my favorite premise yet, but I just didn't feel any paranoia or suspense, because the stakes were not very high until the last 75 or so pages. I did guess part of the ending as well, which I have never previously been able to do in her books, so I also did not get he shock factor of the reveal ending. I also found I difficult to keep the characters straight, especially who was related to who, and that made my experience a little confusing at times. There was a helpful guide at the beginning of the book that I had to use more than I would have liked. Despite all of this, I did enjoy this book a lot and will continue reading this author.

I was fully prepared for this sequel to disappoint me. Usually, when the first book is as good as One of Us Is Lying the follow up falls short. I am overjoyed to say that I was wrong. This was amazing. I only stopped reading when I was trying to put the pieces of this mystery together in my head. Must read.
