It's difficult for sequels to live up to the high expectations we build after a predecessor we loved. For me, however, One of Us is Next was the perfect blend of what I was hoping for based on enjoying One of Us is Lying mixed with something brand new that I also enjoyed.

The way that author McManus utilized the original Bayview Four from the first book as periphery characters, but focused in on a new group of friends including Bronwyn's younger sister, Maeve, was brilliant! I feel like I both got the world that I'm familiar with and the characters I grew to love (and a where-are-they-now sort of check-in) and a story that could stand on its own two feet without actually needing to know what happened in Book 1.

One of Us is Next kept me intrigued and guessing till the very end and I thoroughly enjoyed every little clue McManus dropped in along the way (without me noticing) until it all finally came together. A very enjoyable read!

This one was a rollercoaster for me, had some doubts about it but ended up loving it! I did like the first book better, but nonetheless a great book with a good story which is written very well :)

The first 100 pages made me regret reading it but then when I got into I loved it. I didn’t think it’d be as good as the first one. It was the same structure as the first. One of the main characters was Maeve - Broywn’s sister. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Really interesting story. Read it in pretty much one day.
