The narrator was good but didn't always change her voice enough for the different characters. I had difficulty keeping track of all the characters and the timeline was confusing. Several times they were in the middle of a chase and they would announce a date which did not make sense.
The plot was good and suspenseful in parts.

Told in two alternating timelines, The Bachelorette Party follows the mysterious disappearance of four women during a weekend getaway. Years later, it’s an unsolved case that still haunts Tessa, especially after her own true crime podcast career falls apart. The book explores her lingering obsession with the case while she embarks on a getaway of her own, a bachelorette party for an old friend that just happens to be near where the four women disappeared years earlier.
I alternated between the audiobook and the physical copy, and parts of the story were definitely engaging. I appreciated the ethical commentary on true crime culture and thought the backstory of the main character added some emotional weight. That said, there weren’t many surprises, and much of the plot felt a bit too familiar - like a thriller I’ve read before.
It was…fine. I’d recommend this one for readers who enjoy a typical, easy-to-digest thriller and don’t mind a few predictable beats.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advance copy. All opinions are entirely my own.

I liked it very much. The characters were written well. It was entertaining, I couldn't keep it down. Honestly, this was different from typical reads.

**The Bachelorette Party** by Camilla Sten was a tense and gripping mystery that was set during a weekend getaway in a remote cabin in Sweden. A group of old friends reunite to celebrate the bride-to-be - but what started as a fun trip quickly turns dark as secrets from the past begin to surface—and one of them disappears. The story was full of suspense, with just the right amount of drama and twists that kept me hooked. The remote setting added to the feeling of isolation and unease. The characters each have their own hidden motives, making it hard to know who to trust. It was a fast, exciting read—perfect for fans of locked-room mysteries and thrillers with strong female leads.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This was a fast paced book and it really kept me going throughout the story. I wish some details and characters were a little bit more fleshed out, but I loved both Tessa and Matilda! They were strong characters, and I really did feel for them. I thought the plots were predictable, but some of the goriness was genuinely unexpected and I kind of loved it! This book would get an easy 4 stars for me had characters outside of Tilly and Tessa been developed more and if the podcast subplot was tightened up a bit, but I still had a great time reading it!
