I read the sample of the prologue as well as the first chapter; both of which were good. I'm curious as to how the prologue was in first person and the first chapter in third. I'll possibly pick this book up in the future when time has past and I can get it from the library.

It was creepy and kept my interest. I was surprised at the twists and turns and was satisfied with the ending.

Such a great quick read to help you out of a reading slump/get you in the spooky mood for the year! Loved the short chapters and seeing how all the characters connected by the end of the book. I also loved the dual timelines & seeing various characters' perspectives as well as how they each play a role in the murder mystery. However, I wasn't too invested in the characters to the point where my heart hurt whenever someone dies or we find out something intense. I was a bit shocked and my jaw dropped a few times, but it wasn't that overwhelming feeling you'd get for characters you're really rooting for. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this reading experience, and I appreciate Alex North's writing.

The first half of this book was really good and I was like on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what’s going on. The lucid dreaming stuff was so good and then the twist in the middle??? Like the whole point of the lucid dreaming was to show that he can create a whole scenario in this head?? Ugh this book was disappointing.

This was fine. Some interesting dream stuff. Very 'true crime' feeling.

Solid mystery/thriller. It wasn't particularly creepy or as good as The Whisper Man, but still a decent enough read/audiobook.
