Relevant, beautiful, and insightful. A must read for anyone interested in the importance of political action, marches, and black history and culture.

This volume was a bit longer than I expected. I was expecting to fly through this in 2 days at most. However, I did like that they showed John Lewis's whole speech from the March On Washington at the end of the volume

I found this even more engrossing than the original. This installment continues with the Freedom Riders and ends with the March on Washington. I learned about a number of lesser known civil rights leaders and have added some additional books to my to be read list thanks to this!

A bit more confusing and jumpy than the first one, once all the characters and all the different parties come into play.

Really enjoying learning historical details through the graphic novel format. Lewis’ amazing and inspiring story continues as eventual leader of SNCC and he match to Washington. There are so many unsung heroes in these events.
