Everyone should read this series.

This second volume is more complicated with names and events than the first as the Civil Rights Movement gained speed, and dissenting voices within the movement were heard. I'm glad I had watched the movie Selma, before reading the March books, since it gave me context and an introduction to some of the larger players.

I think that written in graphic novel form, some students will find the Civil Rights movement is more alive than in history books.
I would recommend this book to people who enjoy history as well as to students who want to know more about or learn about the Freedom Riders and the youth who participated in the Civil Rights movement.
