I am deeply attached to the person holding the center, and the person embracing him. The sky-sea space-time matter-energy self-universe center-edge is at stake; the pages too few to cradle all of the implications thereof. But it's as sweet as it is small. And sanguine. And blue. If I dream any dream, I'd be glad of it being a dream as kind as this one was.

Short read on sci-fi/dystopian, about George Orr who has powerful dreams that could alter reality. He was sent to a psychiatrist, who then used George’s dream to create an ideal world. Or was it?

I don’t have a strong opinion on this book. Centralising the question of ethics, I believe this book has stated its preferences already based on the outcomes narrated. It also contains elaborated explanations on sleep and dream, go figure what it has led me to.

There's something about Le Guin's writing that feels like home. Despite her being one of The Greats of sci fi in the 60s and 70s, I find her works to be distinct and timeless. This book follows that pattern. It was a short, but poignant read that I enjoyed throughout. There were times when I felt the commentary overshadowed the plot, but I didn't mind.
