i thought this was a really good easy beach read. knew about the manson family prior so it was interesting to see emma cline build on the existing murders. i enjoyed the author’s writing style i thought it was really easy to read and understand. in conclusion i really enjoyed this book

The writing in this is INSANE. It’s disturbing but realistic in how it describes her thought processes as a teenage girl. It’s uncomfortable but relatable somehow. Basically just a girl being groomed but you understand why she makes the decisions she does. Also bonus, good retro late 60s vibes. I got lost in it.

This book is poetically written and often describes very ugly things in a beautiful way but at times, this feels too much.
