"Life is like a passageway into unknown territory. It’s like standing in the dark, searching for a way to escape . To find light. Only there are two routes you can take. Both look to be safe. The brightness is blinding no matter what path you choose..."

I stole this quote from the book...The Drifter because it really does sum up the story.

They had each other. A choice was made. They wander through life separately because of that choice. But who says it's the only choice...now?

Rori and Kray have to decide which way to go now. Now that they have seen each other again. Will it make a difference? Does it change anything?

I know I say this often but I cried. The hurt, longing, and loneliness is very clear in this book. It comes across as a deep ache the reader can feel. Don't let that deter you though, because so does the joy and sexual tension!

It is sad that I chose to read this book strictly because of the smoking hot guy on the cover. Why you ask? It's worth so much more than a lusty gaze. It was a great story and filled with hope. Hope that the light will overtake the darkness.

I loved it. Oh, and I couldn't put it down either!

This book started off very interesting and then it started to drag. Around 58% I started getting desperate. The book felt long and sometimes boring.

I liked the story line but the writing was not for me. It felt like everything was in the characters heads. There wasn't a lot of chemistry. I think this could have been a wonderful book but I didn't feel very connected to the characters.

Oh holy emotions Batman! Once again Kathy Coopmans sucks you into such an amazing tale of loss, love and redemption. This is such a heart wrenching second chance love story. To say I was fully engrossed in the development of the relationship between Kray and Rori is an understatement.
Kray thought he was doing the right thing but it shattered not only him but Rori. These two together are pure magic. Even with the years apart you can feel that spark within them. You get so emotionally invested in their love that this book just is poof done. What I really enjoyed about this story is that you do get a feel for their back stories. You get to feel their pain of what they went through on both sides. How Rori suffered, how Kray suffered and how they both lost a part of themselves being apart. I love the smoking hot chemistry these two exude. Totally panty melting! I also love how Rori works with him to find his place in society. Helps him to function. Works with him through his frustrations from being cut off from so much since he left.
Overall, this is a stellar novel. Coopmans attention to detail and getting into the inner workings of a character’s mind is bar none. I really enjoyed the uniqueness of this story as well as its flow. It kept the pages turning and left me in awe. Yet again another amazing novel by Coopmans. I highly recommend this one if you are a lover of second chance romance.
