This was so refreshing and different from other mangas I've read. The story follows Hori, a girl who's essentially living double-lives. At school, she's known for being popular and smart while outside of school, she devotes her time to taking care of her younger brother and doing housework. Miyamura is also different than he appears. At school, he is percieved as being taciturn and boring but outside of school, he looks completely different; he has several piercings and tattoos. While they might seem different on the surface, they quickly form a friendship. What I found refreshing about it was that neither of the main characters experienced insta-love but instead we get to see their relationship grow over time. This was a nice start to the series and I'm excited to keep reading and see the development in their relationship.
The first volume was sweet, adorable, relaxed and cheerful. I really liked it. It was like breath of fresh air. It was kinda slow, but I guess slice-of-life manga are slow in general. I loved all the character relationships and want to read more about them. Overall, I'll continue with this one.
Actual Rating: 4.5. Awwwww this was really cuuuuuute!!! Its exactly what I needed right now!
This was just a really wholesome, sincere, and funny little manga about two people getting to know one another. I really like the message behind this and think the art/writing conveyed that effectively.
The only reason I took .5 off is because some of the female characters were a little stereotypical, and there is some not-amazing gay jokes thrown in for good measure. Honestly, that’s kind of par for the course for manga in this genre so it didn’t bother me too much, but I wanted to note it nonetheless.
I will definitely be reading more of this series!! This was super cute and I am now incredibly invested in these characters!!

I recently watched the anime and I loved it so decided to pick up the manga as I've been told the anime skips over a lot of content. And it really does! There's so much more in the manga - will definitely be reading more! A new top 10 for sure :)
3.5 stars
I guess from what I've seen about this book, I'm clearly the unpopular opinion here.
I'm not a huge fan of Miyamura, his characterization is kinda weak.
Also, I didn't like the choppy timeline.
