Well, this one was marginally better than the first two, but just when I was about to forgive her for some of her sins because she did at least tie up all the loose ends, she ended the book with one entirely spurious scene
SpoilerClary refusing to do a favor for the queen of the fairies
and one mysterious new unidentified character. No way that these needed to be in this book unless she intended to write some more, although this was touted as the end of the trilogy. As it happened, she did write more--she's up to six or seven in the series now. I will not be reading them. this author does not have good control over suspense or story.

I want to give this a 3.5 but closer to the 4. I had a very hard time reading this book as I felt it dragged on a lot in the middle. But over all I enjoyed the story as it makes things a lot clearer now.

Fantastic conclusion to the series. All questions answers & loose ends tied. The addition of a few new characters to round out the story. The action was great, bringing plot climax at just the right intervals. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Always bittersweet to finish a series.

This seems like this could have been the end of the series so I'm not sure how the rest is going to progress. I'm going to try out the fourth book and see how it goes!

Nowhere near as good as the first 2
