A quick, mostly sweet read.

I did not like this as much as the first book, and was surprised to find it was written by a different author. This was cloiser to 2 1/2stars for me as I found that the characters were not as developed, nor as endearing to me.

I found this book to be much better than it's predecessor! It takes place concurrently with [b:A Fair of the Heart|12012761|A Fair of the Heart (Welcome to Redemption, #1)|Donna Marie Rogers|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1329917369s/12012761.jpg|16977796], and while it is a very short story, it seemed to flow much better than that previous book did. We get more background on these characters than in the first book, we get to see how and why this is a story of redemption and can surmise the reasons that Wes is wanting to relocate his business to Wisconsin. Tara's background is also explained a good bit as well, which explains much of her actions. I liked that this was a mostly clean romance, and that we had a good idea of where the characters ended up at the end of the story. This book was enough to make me want to continue with the series, provided I can get them on a good deal or from the library.

Cute little story....loved the chemistry between Tara and Wes, and Sugar was incorrigible. Nothing too complicated, but a fun little read. Will be checking out the other Redemption books....

This was a free read on my Nook and I read the first book in the series so I was hoping to see a progression from that story. It is written by a different author than the first book in the series.

Yes this book does share scenes with the first book but it does not further Lauren and Caleb story at all.

Tara is at the fair watching her brother dog, a great dane named Sugar. Sugar is stalking a man in a suit. Who comes to a fair dressed in a suit - Westin a reformed gang member now business owner, who has moved his business to Redemption, WI from Denver and his luggage is lost.

Tara's family are exact opposite of her. They are bikers with tattoos - her Mom is even a Tattoo artist. She is a quiet real estate agent. But they are incredibly protective of her. Her sister died 13 years prior and the family are scared a similar situation will happen again - so they want Tara to stay away from Wes. They recognize the tattoo he has as one from a gang.

This story encompasses no more than 48 hours. It is filled with funny antics from Sugar the dog. I didn't feel I really knew either of the main characters well and there was no real character development for her parents or brother. I understand more about the dog than them.

This is the 2nd book in a series of 6 - I do not think I will read the others. I would only read them if they would further the character development of Lauren & Caleb (book 1) or Tara and Wes (book 2) or if I could download them for free
