This is weird, because I enjoyed it, but I also didn't. Probably because it jumps all over the place, but the bizarre scenarios and prose (the jibe about heteronormative cisgendered family units thing, lolwut) just enticed me to go along with it, even though it didn't make sense.
(And frankly, I like to think She-Hulk could own Medusa...)

Such a fun Marvel book, another win from Matt Fraction and Mike Allred's art is beautiful.

Such a great book, Matt Fraction created a great classic story in the world of the Fantastic Four. Temporary stand-ins took over the HQ and the responsibility towards the Future Foundation (which to me trying to tell American Institutions to take in intelligent kids no matter the race *literally* creed and upbringing). Mike Allred art match perfectly with Fraction's storytelling, this is one of the best reads I had from Marvel.

Without context this us complete nonsense. Even though this is labeled as volume one it starts at issue four. You get no setup. Instead you are dropped in the middle. It does not work. I liked the quirky art and might have enjoyed the story had I the faintest idea of what was happening.

- Strong character development? No
- Loveable characters? No
- Diverse cast of characters? It's complicated

I love Matt Fractions writing, but this was boring.

It was funny. It started in the middle of the team already being formed, so I didn't know the kids' backstories. It was cute, but the art and story didn't work together, but I love the artist and writer individually. The most interesting character is Darla Deering and maybe Bentley 23 and Ahura.
