The atmosphere in this book was insanely good but I didn't connect so much with the characters. I'm very excited to read on though!

Im obsessed with Oxford, so reading about someone being able to use their library, really got me hooked. Adding history into the mix, just really sold me. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a more adult supernatural series.

I finished listening to this story on my morning commute. This book was like an NPR story. I wanted to stay in my car to keep listening. How could I not love a book about academic vampires and witches that begins at the Bodleian library in Oxford? The library science geek in me was in love. Sometimes the story did drag and there was a bit of navel gazing, but I can't wait to hear the next book in the series that I've checked out from the library.
5 1/2 hours into the 24 hour long audio and there's has been so much said without saying anything.
The high volume of details usually is a good thing for me especially when world building, but every detail shared is irrelevant and/or repetitive.
Diana (MFC) is annoying af with her "I'm special and different because I reject my power despite being the strongest witch alive, but I also like to read AND work out. Not only that but I *have* to work out because I have a unique adrenaline disorder." Gurl bye
An Oxford-based urban fantasy and forbidden romance could have been a cool, fun read but that's not this.
