I decided to read this book after seeing that it was made into a TV show, and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It was definitely an enjoyable read, and I loved being introduced to the world and the characters. There was a good amount of mystery and intrigue to keep me hooked, and the conflict was presented well with twists and turns throughout. The only reason I’m not rating this higher is that the pace is a bit slow in between the action.

Loved these vibes!!!!! I sort of wish I read it in the fall but I’ve started the journey and now I’ve gots to see it through. I really enjoyed the audio book reader of this. Ultimately there are parts that are so SILLY but I buy in. Like these 2 people have known each other a MONTH and they’re literally about to throw their lives away for each other?! Guess you’ve got to date a literal vampire for that kind of commitment. Personally, I’m not all that into Matthew but I am invested in the story and the characters. I want these crazy kids to be ok!!!

Este libro me ha parecido una versión más inteligente y adulta que Crepúsculo. ¡Y me ha gustado mucho!. Empecé a leerlo debido a la serie de televisión que recientemente han estrenado. Deborah Harkness me ha parecido una gran conocedora de la historia, química, biología... Este libro contiene mucha información y en ningún momento se me ha hecho aburrido. Te hace seguir con ganas de continuar leyendo los otros libros de la trilogía

This turned into a 'Did Not Finish'. Too much romantic, lovey dovey stuff. He was over protective, over bearing and possessive. She was a damsel in distress and got carried everywhere. No thank you. Not for me.
