I thought I’d read this to know for myself in full how this book was but I can’t do this to myself. Thank you to those who stuck through for sharing bc that lets me know it’s not worth sticking with even for curiosity’s sake.

But like just 5% in and I can’t handle how bad this writing is on a sentence level. Sentences crafted in a way that make me need to reread and go ???, weird phrasing choices. Why can’t we just call it opium instead of opian? And I was getting annoyed already hearing the mc tell us everything lol.
