Good guidance on leadership, starting with “it’s not about you”.

This book took me a while to get through because so much of it made me stop and think about how I lead and what I value. Read it. Make people around you read it. I think the title and subtitle are a bit misleading so I'd summarize it this way: The measure of a leader is in how well they help their team grow and develop and excel, even in, especially in, their absence.

This was a good non-fiction read that helped put into words a lot of my own thoughts about best business practices and the importance of empowering people. Definitely a good read!

Accessible, actionable and brilliant - highly recommended reading for anyone in or contemplating a leadership role.

From the very beginning Unleashed feels like a different kind of leadership book. It's a refreshing blend of inspiration and pragmatism, recognising the challenges of leading teams and acknowledging that sometimes the shortcut or the stern instruction seem like a necessary way of coping. But, always it comes back to the advantages of putting in the work. To acknowledging and giving credit for the positive ways of working and never backing away from the hard job of getting things right.

My copy is full of sticky notes of key points - I can never bring myself to write in a book - but I think I might have to buy extra copies to share with friends and colleagues who I hope will be similarly inspired by the insights in here.

A good read on empowering others as a leader and building inclusion. There were chapters I enjoyed more than others though. Really appreciate the examples and the sections for reflection.

I found it interesting and full of food for thought. I loved how it is written and organised and I loved the idea of empowering the people around the leader.
One of the best leadership book I read in a long time.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
