DID NOT FINISH: 63%

going to soft dnf this one. i started it 4 months ago and have just kinda lost interest for no good reason, and i've accepted that i'm not going to finish it any time soon.

woah, this was just as good as space for love and i did not expect that
i've never seriously read or even been interested in polyamorous relationships, but this was an amazing introduction to it!! i was worried that there would be an odd one out in the relationship or jealousy would cause some issues, but nope! i think the author handled this throuple really well :)

also, after finishing the first book, i didn't realize that this one would follow mezli and her own love story, and that was a really nice surprise even though it was probably obvious! LOL idk i just really enjoy that the characters in this world are getting built upon and we get to see more of them!
i'm not a huge fan of paul, but i'm sure i'll love him when the next book comes out! (i already love hadrell)

On paper this book is everything I could have asked for: detailed and lengthy smut, characters that have relationship related self doubt that’s assuaged, fun alien anatomy, 3 fated mates that all end up together, and much more. However, something about the writing just doesn’t jive with me. Unfortunately I struggle to better articulate my discontent.

It was a page turner for sure. I devoured this book quickly because I just wanted to know what happened next. I liked the characters and I liked the relationship that they developed.

I think the main negative is that the characters were too sex-driven all the time. They were always wanting to fuck and that flattened them a bit since we didn’t get to experience other emotions that they had to the same extent. There wasn’t an increasing sense of attraction as the book escalated, but instead they started out fully raring and ready to go. I know part of this can be explained by the fated mates aspect, but it made the book feel tonally monotonous.

That being said, I still liked it! And I think it would be a satisfying read to most people who are looking for queer alien smut.

I love that the last chapter was told from Paul’s POV. I wish we saw more of where that story was going!!

At this point, I am an Emily Antoinette stan and will pretty much read whatever she writes! This was exactly what I needed from a ménage romance: sweet, angsty, emotional, and spicy. (The double peen and pink shimmery ‘spend’ didn’t hurt either!)

It’s very easy for a romance involving three parties to be based around sex, and that will quickly turn me off. But I didn’t get that from this romance. Each character is flawed and relatable. They have their own struggles and fears, but ultimately they all just want to feel loved and cherished.

We don’t even get any real spice until the second half of the book, but the first half really explores their personalities and interactions before anything sexual is even considered. But, once it hits, IT HITS!

I just loved these three, even though I wanted to shake and yell at each one of them at least once throughout, they are all charming and likable in true Emily Antoinette fashion! I am super intrigued by the little teaser we get at the very end, and super excited for the next book in this series!!

A sweet and steamy sequel in the Spire Station series ❤️
Absolutely loved the dynamic between each of the characters (FFM), and the well-paced plot was balanced perfectly with the right amount of spice

"She sounds so sweet when she begs, but she'll sound even better when she screams for us."

*Screaming!!!*

I had the absolute pleasure of reading this TWICE before release day and I can honestly say it's the best FFM romance I've ever read. It has Alien anatomy

!!! This MFF alien romance is something everyone should read. I had no expectations prior to reading this (and did not read the first in the interconnected) but I loved this! My only other alien romance was IPB and this is not that if you’re looking for more of an easy light hearted read. This book is deep, thoughtful, and the spice is SPICIN. I cannot wait to read the other books in this interconnected world.
