I received an ARC for my honest review!
Screaming, crying, clenching my teeth. Kicking my feet in romantic glee. Cannot recommend this book enough!
I loved that the relationship developed organically and believably. Everyone's hangups contributed to the Situation pretty equally and even though there were some pretty spectacular failures to communicate, it didn't veer into Idiots Who Can't Communicate territory. I loved how the 3 characters' personalities played off one another, how each "side" of the throuple functioned, and how they were as a whole.
Also, and this goes without saying, THE SPICE. The sex scenes were high heat but also incredibly sweet. I'm sad the book ended because I want to read more about these characters!

Emily does it again! I love her characters and the mishaps they get themselves in and Eden, Mezli and Phelix are no different.
Each of the main characters are looking for a chance of love in their own way. Who knew playing secret agent was the way for it to happen.
I laughed out loud several times between no filter Mezli and some human-alien translation mishaps.
If your looking for a cozy space read with some serious 🌶🥵 this is a must read!

This book owns a special place in my heart.
Not only was this one of the first few books I have beta read for, but the stories told in this book felt so special and really hit home for me.
The naive human who desires to love and be loved.
The horny gremlin that tries to mask away her feelings.
The insecure soul who does not believe they deserve love.
These people are all relatable and have been me.
Mezli. I fell in love with Mezli in book 1, but she really swept me off my feet in book 2. She seems so real, flawed but growing. She is a complicated alien and I loved getting to know her outside of her mask. I loved how we were able to explore both her new relationship with Eden while fixing her previous relationship with Phelix. Neither of the relationships seemed less important than the other. Which I feel is important when exploring plural or open relationships.
Also her being horny and having alien bits increased my Mezli bias *a lot* and I need to see it more in sci-fi and fantasy romance!! More monster girls and monster females please!! Especially ones with alien bits!!
Eden. Eden and her big tits. I love her and have been her. She goes through such a journey throughout this book. Her trying to find her place in the world was a very relatable scenario for me. Trying to put yourself in places you do not believe you fit is exhausting. Falling in love with someone fated to another would be devastating. As naive as Eden is, that never spoke of her strength. Eden is a strong ass woman that just has a LOT of love to give.
Phelix. I had no preconceived idea of Phelix, but holy shit did he steal my heart with his cocky smile, insecure demeanour, and his strawberry-flavoured pink pearly cum. I find it hard sometimes to fall in love with cocky MMCs or MMCs that need to make up mistakes to a FMC.... but Phelix is a whole 'nother species! He is extremely privileged, but his cockiness is mostly superficial. Growing up in such a strict and privileged environment made it so he had a low sense of self-worth, despite the number in his bank account. I just ... I love Phelix. He grew a lot throughout the book and stole my heart along the way. He is cocky, but he is soft and caring first and foremost.
I fucking love this book and I loved being a beta and ARC reader for emily 10/10 would do it again 🥺💜
TLDR: I love and would die for these characters and Emily Antoinette 🥰

Omg I loved this book so much. The characters are so lovable, the plot kept me guessing and the spicy scenes were 🌶️🥵. Very thoughtful and intentional writing (love, love, love the way we are introduced to character’s pronouns), I am a huge fan of Emily’s work and this book is no exception. 10/10 would recommend!
