I really like comics where they play with tropes and the fact that someone is a superhero is not in the forefront of the story, so this was right up my alley.

I had a pretty fun time reading this, the Rick jones story was definitely the low point for me, it was pretty boring, but thankfully it ended on a great note with the missing girl’s case

It was a great book that I really think captured the character in the light that she deserved!

Jessica Jones is a great character, but the art style—lots of heavy, craggy dark lines—is just not for me. To his credit, Gaydos has some nice page layouts to go with the trademark dialogue heavy Bendis script.

Gritty and fantastic, if definitely for adult readers. A lot of people dislike Bendis's writing, but he shines in this character-specific work.

Watching the show kind of made it hard to enjoy the comic book series. There’s more depth to her as a character in the show, which I love so much. I did laugh at the last issue in Volume 1 though. I recognized a little more of the Jessica Jones I have grown to love when she’s out on a date with a fellow super hero.

3.5 stars.

I mostly read this out of curiosity after watching Jessica Jones on Netflix. I like the grittiness of it, but wasn't completely enthralled by most of the cases. Not sure how I feel about the depiction of Luke Cage here, either, but I liked it enough that I'll seek out the rest of the collection.

I loved this! I watched the first season of Jessica Jones with no background knowledge of Jessica Jones and enjoyed it. I finally decided to pick up the comic and enjoyed it 1000000% more. I will definitely continue reading Jessica Jones graphics.
