Enjoyable, wide spaced large writing with each chapter nicely separated by a couple of pencil illustrations!

This was an easy and enjoyable read, laugh out loud at times and giving space to serious topics with a light heartedness.

This book is a collection of articles from Jeremy a Clarkson’s weekly column and it showed as some content was repeated with only slight variation, which would have been necessary if you were reading a standalone article.

Overall, I thought the Amazon series was better - Kaleb is pretty much absent from the book, which is to its detriment I think.

Three stars for the quality of the writing, which is exceptional. And it brings the reality of farming life sharply into focus. Everyone needs to know about modern farming. Clarkson veers wildly between endearing self deprecation and grandiosity. Minus one, though, for the editing - it’s a selection of newspaper columns, one after the other, with no effort to avoid repetition. Minus another for the padding with illustrations and blank pages, so it takes an hour to read for £9.
