Jeremy's an idiot and we all know that. He provides an important perspective on the farming industry that the public are likely unaware of.

I haven't watched his TV series, but presume the book is similar to the show.

Paperback 3.8 stars

For what this book was, it was good fun. After watching the Amazon show, this was a great supplement that added some great detail that was clever and full of analogies only British people will understand.

Read for a great laugh at one old man's expense.

I really didn’t like this book at all. It was so boring and he tryed to be funny in this book and he just wasn’t sadly. He doesn’t have the 1st clue what he is doing on a farm he should of stayed writing about cars. I will not be reading anymore of his books. The illustration were done so good though xxx

It was typical Clarkson funny but there was a lot of exact overlap in wording as the tv show and I didn’t like that

I usually rate Clarkson pretty highly as a writer but this book is very slight indeed and something of a disappointment. I've not watched the Amazon serial but that really shouldn't make a difference. He has a couple of good points (and I come from a farming background so am interested in the subject) and is right about the profession being a very hard one - but it's not a very interesting read really.
