I usually don’t mind different povs in a book, but this one was just way too many. They tried to get away with it by not using first pov pronouns but you might as well have. Also, super predictable.

This is actually a lot better than I thought it would be, I was HOOKED the entire time but I had to knock a few points off because the ending was just sudden and jarring - I would’ve preferred the ending to be a bit longer but be more fulfilling - ending is just a grab to get you to read the other books in the series

An old exclusive Hollywood hotel, would definitely have lots of stories to tell! I liked the concept of this novel. I had intention on continuing the series at the time. However I have yet to read book 2.

There were some interesting twists at the end, but the lead-up was kind of long and boring. There were too many POVs, which meant none of them really stood out. There's only a couple of scenes that I'd maybe describe as horror, but it was pretty weak.

tw: There is a Nazi sideplot with flashbacks and discussion of the Holocaust and kidnapping children.

Dnf, It was written in an incredibly confusing way. I think it was meant to be dual POV but couldn’t recognize what pov I was reading or what character I was reading from
